iPod Shuffle gets price cut, Apple releases new 2 GB model

It's small and compact, but the iPod Shuffle is doubling in size. In memory capacity, that is. Apple has just introduced a new 2 GB model of the iPod Shuffle. If you're a musicphile (like a lot of us here at QJ), bigger storage is always better. Ok, 2 GB may still not be enough, but you have to sacrifice a few things when you want to cram a whole lot into something that small.

Sega: iPod is flawless device for distributing video games

The iPod is a popular device for its media capabilities, but what most people often forget is that the device can also act as a video game device. Last December, Sega unleashed their fiery blue mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, on the iPod family tree. Sega remarked that the device is a "flawless" device for developers to sell their video games in. This comment wasn't directed at the device as a platform, though, but rather at its payment system and its ability to provide media to consumers at large with just a couple of clicks. Hopefully this means we'll be able to see more video games arrive for the device in the future.

Future third-party iPhone and iPod touch applications to be hosted on iTunes?

A new homebrew application developed by Jahanzeb Serwani now allows you to control your PC's mouse pointer using your iPhone or iPod Touch. Called Touchpad, it basically allows you to use your Apple gadget as a remote... well, touchpad with all the basic features such as clicking, double-clicking and dragging.
